GALLO'S SEAFOOD & HARV'S BURGER BAR HISTORY
Our Story
In the summer of 1966, Frank and Diane Galloway opened Gallo’s at the corner of Taylor & Pacific Avenues in Wildwood, New Jersey. The menu was Italian with fresh local seafood. They operated the restaurant seasonally through 1973. In 1970, they had an idea for a seafood take-out establishment. They opened Gallo’s Seafood on the 8900 block of Frankford Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. They started the business as take-out dining only but added counter-seat in 1972. That same year, a 30-seat dining room was added.
